Overview
  • You may have subdomains to deliver CSS, Javascript, and image files. You don't want Google to index to them because they are duplicates of your main domain pages. Although you don't want Google to "index" them, you do want Google to "follow" them, to interpret the javascript and AJAX files.

    • How to I stop Google from indexing my subdomain files, such as css.example.com,
    • But still allow Google to follow them?
    • Are these possible solutions?
      • Use X-Robots-Tag HTTP header,
      • .htaccess 301 redirect,
      • robot.txt,
      • Canonical link,
      • Make a remove subdomain request to Google.
