The easiest way to solve this XAMPP problem is shutdown your Skype, and restart your XAMPP Control Panel. But that is not a smart solution.
So how to solve this port in use issue? In Skype Options: [Connection] , there is a check-box labelled Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections. This is the root problem, so simply clear / unchecked it and save. You may need to restart Skype.
When I'm trying to start XAMPP Control Panel, I got some error messages that says Port 80, 443 in use by Skype.
There are several troubleshooting ideas here. One of them follows the above video, but change the port 442 to 8181. "Just change the ssl port in httpd-ssl.conf file. It would be under C:\xampp\apache\conf\extra. Find "443" and replace it with other values(e.g 8181), then start your apache again"
This file may be located here: /xampp/apache/conf/extra/httpd-ssl.conf
I have a very strange problem with my Apache 2.4 working with Xampp 1.8.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2.
When I tried to start Apache server in XAMPP, an error message is shown:
