  • IGCSE is an internationally recognized high school exam based on the UK's GCE O-Level. It is not a "certificate" but is a qualification based on individual subjects of study. The IGCSE is predominantly exam-based, similar to Advanced Placement exams and SAT Subject Tests. It is a viable option for  home-schooling or adult education, without requiring full-time school classes. In 2010, IGCSE papers in more than 70 subjects were taken in over 120 countries worldwide.
